AC Brake and Clutch options

invisible text
Rotor Clutch:

Enables fast stopping action by disengaging rotor inertia from gear train
Especially effective in stopping drag-type load at output shaft
Allows output shaft to be turned freely when motor is de-energized
Should only be mounted horizontally

invisible text
Rotor Brake, (disk type):
Cork disks are forced together by rotor spring when motor is de-energized
Stops within 8-12 rotor revolutions, depending on load and inertia
Holds backup load at output shaft
Should only be mounted horizontally

Rotor Brake, (cone type):

Cork disks are forced together by rotor spring when motor is de-energized
Stops within 4-6 rotor revolutions, depending on load and inertia
Holds backup load at output shaft
Should only be mounted horizontally

Rotor Brake, (magnetic positive action type):

Plastic pawl arm engages rotor
Stops within 1-3 rotor revolutions, depending on load and inertia
Holds heavy backup load at output shaft
Can be mounted in all positions
